Planetary Shifts Under Saturn-Neptune
One planet after the other has entered a new sign in recent months, changing the energetic landscape. Meanwhile, Saturn and Neptune set the tone into 2026.

View of the steep rocky shore and rough sea (1883), Ivan Aivazovsky
Pluto into Aquarius. Sedna into Gemini. Neptune into Aries. The North Node into Pisces. Saturn into Aries. Jupiter into Cancer. One week into July, Uranus into Gemini.
Each of these energetic shifts reflects a change in the orientation, mood, and meaning of the times. While 2015-17 destabilized the existing balance (Uranus-Eris) and 2019-20 intensified the weight of our actions, both individual and collective (Jupiter-Saturn-Pluto), 2024-25 stands out for the period’s series of major energetic pivots.
Genuinely, there is great potential in each of these treks into novel astrological terrain. Pluto will be diving into new possibilities for existence. Sedna will be making us see in new ways. Neptune will be propelling dreams into action. The Lunar Nodes will be guiding us to reconnect with a sense of trust. Saturn will challenge us to move forward. Jupiter will initiate an exploration of all that has made us who we are. Uranus will accelerate the flow of information and ideas.
Yet, for many, there is a gravity to the present day that is a barrier to optimism for the future. An essential truth in astrology is that the planets locked into the most potent of aspects are the ones that steal the show, and what Saturn and Neptune are brewing in their 2025-26 conjunction is pervasive and inescapable.

♄ Saturn + ♆ Neptune in Aries
Seriousness follows Saturn. Without Saturn, life would likely feel less real, less purposeful, less significant. Saturn has us take life seriously so that we may experience the full weight, breadth, and extent of existence.
While Saturn transits can be highly constructive, Saturn in aspect with other major planets often ushers in periods of great seriousness globally. 2020 is now a textbook example. Seriousness is again the backdrop with Saturn’s 2025-26 conjunction with Neptune.
Neptune is by nature a collective planet. Neptune is unifying. This unification can be felt in ways both transcendent and mundane, arriving through pop culture as much as through spiritual experiences of oneness. It’s difficult not to feel what is collectively being felt in one sense or another. In 1989, Saturn-Uranus-Neptune brought a wave of uprisings that paved the way for the dissolution of the Soviet Union and an end to the Cold War—a wave of shared feeling, serious and revolutionary in nature, that washed over the people of numerous Soviet states within a brief period of time.
Valid concerns of an oppressive regime in the U.S. are widespread presently, notably with the ongoing, wide-reaching attacks on public institutions and immigrants. Immigration—the ways we permit the boundaries between nationalities of people to be a little more porous. As Aries now puts the situation perilously into motion, will we attempt to further restrict and obstruct this international inflow of people, or will we affirm that the sociopolitical and spiritual ideal of receiving people from around the world is an attainable ideal?
Aries—the will to act. Saturn-Neptune in Aries—taking action to make manifest what we know to be true in our bones. Recalling the last time Neptune transited Aries, it had at that point become time at last for people to make a stand to end slavery in the United States. The tidal shift occurred when enough people were connected to a spiritual knowing that on some level, there is no difference between us. We are all people, all a part of humanity.
A Message for Neptune with Saturn in Aries

Something I appreciate about Aries energy is how it brings things right here into the present. Living in Colorado, I don’t get to spend much time by the coast anymore, but in recent days, with great gratitude, I’ve had days of quality time communing with the ocean. Sitting with Neptune’s most powerful representative in nature, I’ve reflected a good deal on both the North Node’s transit of Pisces and Neptune’s conjunction with Saturn in Aries. As I took a brief break from writing earlier, I opened to any wisdom the sea had for me. Images and messages came.
First, a train track. There are unlimited directions the tracks can be placed, and you get to imagine all the myriad places this train could travel. Lost in this reverie, you’re taken aback when this dreamy imagining turns all of a sudden into something urgent and visceral. The train has appeared on the track, and it’s moving fast—but the track was never completed! You can’t sit and watch the train barrel into oblivion, so you’re compelled to jump onto the moving train. You rush to the front of the train and find a stack of tracks up at the locomotive. While the train chugs uncertainly on, (remember this is a dream of sorts) you pick up tracks as simply as if they were lego pieces and hurl them forward, continually constructing the path that will keep everything on track. Navigating through rocky hills and swerving rivers, great effort and focus is required, but ultimately you have the power to decide where this train is meant to go.
Second, a message echoing Ram Dass (Aries Sun and stellium) and his mantra to be here now. We are meant to bring our Neptunian sensitivities (and our Saturn work) fully into the present. Our spiritual life is here, now. It isn’t in the clouds and doesn’t belong solely to retreat centers—our spirituality must now be active, alive in the everyday, moving with us from moment to moment. We had our years wading in the meandering Piscean sea, and we find now that the currents are flowing with a decisive, vital energy. With the right amount of effort and commitment, we can earnestly begin the work for our most luminous dreams to be realized in the here and now.
Please send me an email with any questions about my work or to book your remote session. I look forward to meeting with you when the time is right.
Blessings,
Dae
